Nurx, Carbon Health and Everlywell have officially halted their mail-order testing-kit services. But at least one startup is still moving to secure an Emergency Use Authorization for its at-home rapid serology diagnostic.

The increasingly popular business model has its fair share of unknowns regarding the quality of its services.

The startup launched three new test kits, which will test for conditions such as chlamydia, gonorrhea and syphilis. 

Also: Vivante Health, EverlyWell, Nurx and Facebook fill top clinical roles.

Now consumers are turning to the web for their health products—whether it is to get a pharmacy prescription, a urine test or an “embarrassing” sexual health product.
