Mexico's Ministry of Health of Nuevo Leon has chosen the e-Screener Plus (eSP) by Dallas, Tex.-based OZ Systems to manage the state's newborn hearing and metabolic screening programs.Every Ministry of Health public hospital in Nuevo Leon will use the solution with the aim of improving follow-up care for more than 30,000 infants each year.

Ekahau, developer of Wi-Fi-based real-time location systems (RTLS) has partnered with Salo, Finland-based Nordic ID to roll out a solution that combines passive RFID with barcode labels.The solution is designed to track low-cost assets such as surgical instruments, drug supplies and other inventory. With Nordic ID, Ekahau's RTLS is now able to track passive RFID and barcode labels while managing and storing assets and their locations in one database.

The Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust has implemented the IMS MAXIMS Order Communications Systems (OCS) solution to cut scan and X-ray order times from days to seconds.The solution will be used by nearly 800 staff across a dozen sites to order 150,000 examinations per year.In the previous paper-based system, it could take several days for an order to reach the appropriate person. Incomplete information or poor handwriting led to further complications in completing orders.
