Robert E. Dries is leaving his post as chief financial officer of Healthways, a wellness program provider, after less than three months in that role. The company’s chief accounting officer Glenn Hargreaves will assume the role of interim CFO immediately as well as continue his existing duties as chief accounting officer.
Dries became Healthways’s CFO in August, and previously worked at Omnicare, a subsidiary of CVS Health, for 20 years. Healthways CEO Donato Tramuto said Dries made the decision himself to step down.
Minneapolis-based Zipnosis, a provider of white-labeled telehealth platforms, has hired Scott Brown as their new vice president of product and engineering, a post that will put Brown in a leadership role to further scale the company’s enterprise strategies. Brown previously worked at Medtronic as senior engineering manager, and he has held many senior executive technology positions, including the founding of his own software company that helped providers manage patients on complex care pathways and outpatient treatment plans.

Sunnyvale, California-based OptraScan, which makes a digital pathology system, has brought Dr. Clive Taylor onboard as the company’s new consulting chief medical officer. Taylor has been part of OptraScan’s advisory board and has been working with the company to take their research-use-only Digital Pathology System, an on-demand imaging and analysis platform, into new markets and initiatives, including the Cancer Moonshot 2020. Taylor is also professor of pathology at the University of Southern California and editor-in-chief of the journal Applied Immunohistochemistry and Molecular Morphology.
